Are
you Fascinated with the history of World War 2? Have you ever wanted to
know what it would be like to wear the uniform of a GI or to carry the M-1
Rifle, and to experience for yourself some of the things a GI would have done?
Now is your chance "Brother", we are dedicated to honoring those who
served in World War 2 by accurately portraying them. We just need you to
sign up. As a member you will be part of a team that is active in Living
History programs, Special Events, and Battle Reenactments. With us you
will learn the drills, mannerisms, and customs of a GI. If you are of
good character, physically fit, and willing to purchase the necessary items,
we invite you to come and share this experience as we pay tribute to the
Greatest Generation ever.
Orders
Weapon Requirements:
All Infantryman were issued the
M1.30 caliber rifle (Garand). This is the required weapon.
TO&E allows one man in squad to carry a M1903A3 rifle for launching
rifle grenades. TO&E also sets one man as an automatic rifleman.
Only the M1918A2 is allowed per 12 man squad. Other weapons allowed
consist of M1928 Thompson Submachine gun, M-3 Submachine gun, Browning
Automatic Rifle (BAR), 1919 A4 Machine gun. Pistols which are considered
secondary weapons, we accept: 1911 .45, 1911 A1, 1917 .45 Revolver, Model 10
or Victory Model .38 Revolver.
Appearance and Grooming:
Hair should not touch the ears or collar, and
should be a taper look. No beards will be allowed at public events.
Mustaches should not extend below the corners of the mouth. Eyewear
should be of period style.
Insignia:
Patches should be on the upper left sleeve.
